FEB. 2011 - APG MAGAZINE - Article by Jonathan 'Old Crow' Foust entitled "Galactic War" covers LOF's STAR TREK Theme Day. Gabriel Foust's photos accompanied the 2-page article on pages 42 and 43.

JAN. 2011 - APG MAGAZINE - Article (on page 66-67) entitled "MAD PROPS!" by Jason 'Foolybear' Lineberger and Jonathan 'Old Crow' Foust (Splatter & Spray) explains the importance of having 'fake' props on hand. Photos by Toby Joe Gilreath showing props from some of Line of Fire's Theme Days (HALO, OFFICE SPACE, and VAN HELSING vs DRACULA) accompany the article.

DEC. 2010 - APG MAGAZINE - "MINI GAMES...MAXI FUN!" (on pages 66-67) covers the importance of having a 'game within the game'. Written by Jason 'Foolybear' Lineberger and Jonathan 'Old Crow' Foust (Splatter & Spray), the article is accompanied by photos from LOF's STAR TREK (05/22/10) and CALL OF DUTY: MODERN WARFARE 2 (01/23/10) Theme Days. Also a great spread photo of Dave Smith and Shawn Smith doing their '20 paces and turn' duel from another theme day.

NOV. 2010 - APG MAGAZINE - Article by Jason 'Foolybear' Lineberger entitled "Letters Home: Experiences at Paintball Camp" (with photos by Toby Joe Gilreath) covers LOF's annual Summer Celebrity Paintball Camp and makes up pages 30 and 31 in this issue. Quotes from our campers are also listed as to what they learned in camp. Photos feature Kendall Sciupider, Taylor Boyd, Donald Hefelfinger and Isaac London.

JUL. 27, 2010 - BLAST RADIUS WOODSBALL PODCAST (Episode 157) - Several interviews by Jason 'Foolybear' Lineberger with campers at LOF's 2010 SUMMER CELEBRITY PAINTBALL CAMP (June session) discussing what they learned on their first day in camp.

JUNE 2010 - APG MAGAZINE - LOF's annual Summer Celebrity Paintball Camp is used as an example of camps offered across the states during the summer months on page 64 in an article, "Fundamentals, Advanced Techniques and Best Practices" by Paul "Wingman" Metheney. In an unrelated story, on page 74-75, LOF's own Dave "Bunker" Smith appears in a photo taken at a LOF theme day.

FEB. 2010 - APG MAGAZINE - Several pictures from LOF's 2009 theme days (Holy Grail and Resident Evil) taken by Dwayne Humphries, Gabriel Foust and Jonathan Foust appear in an article on pages 40-41 entitled "Tales from the Tapeline" by Jonathan 'Old Crow' Foust and Jason 'Foolybear' Lineberger. (Psssst.....there also happens to be a fashionable 'strike-a-pose' shot of 'Old Crow' on page 30.

JAN. 2010 - APG MAGAZINE - A feature article entitled 'KNIGHTS WHO SAY NI' on pages 61-63 covering LOF's annual Monty Python's Holy Grail Theme Day. The article, written by Jonathan 'Old Crow' Foust, was accompanied with photos taken by his own son, Gabriel Foust. This was Gabriel's debut as a photojournalist, and we gotta say, he hit it out of the park!! The photos featured many of the Holy Grail props including: LOF's infamous 'Trojan (large wooden) Rabbit' (before it appeared in the 2009 Atlanta DragonCon Parade), A 'Cow-a-Pult' built by Matthew Hopper (which was also part of the 2009 DragonCon Parade), and LOF's own unique scoreboard invisioned and built by Arden Hopper. The 'scoreboard' consisted of two life-sized knights (one black and one green) with removable appendages, giving all players on the field an instant team standing cued by the number of missing limbs. Also in the article was a photo of Nicholas Hopkin who won the 'best dressed' award given at all LOF theme days.

NOV. 28, 2009 - WLOS-TV13 11:00 NEWSCAST - Local TV station, WLOS, came out and covered the marriage ceremony of field owners, Toby Joe Gilreath and Arden Hopper, which took place on the Stargate in LOF's city field and was followed by a reception which was later followed by a night time theme day based on the RAINBOW 6: VEGAS video game.

APR. 2009 - PAINTBALL 3X (DIGITAL MAGAZINE) - Feature article, 'Answering the Call' (page 112-115), by Jason 'Foolybear' Lineberger, covering LOF's Feb. 2009 theme day, Call of Duty. The magazine was so impressed with our own Jeff Shipman's photo coverage of the event, that they gave it its own gallery section. You can view Jeff's pics here.

APR. 2008 - PBS MAGAZINE - Feature article, "PAXSON'S PAGES" (Pages 76-78), used a photo (by Toby Joe Gilreath) from last summer's LOF Celebrity Paintball Camp of camper Chandler Cosgrove.

MAR. 2009 - APG MAGAZINE - Foreword by editor Dan Reeves (Page 4) includes a pic of LOF's own Gilbert Lange taken during our 2008 Office Space Theme Day. Also, pictures showing LOF's STARGATE and WARTHOG props are used in an article on pages 82-83 entitled "How to Make Yourself a Name" by Jason "Foolybear" Lineberger.

FEB. 2009 - APG MAGAZINE - Article by Kristen "Lady Attitude" Kleist (Pages 32-33) included a pic of LOF's famous Warthog vehicle and a picture of Bobby Pastel in our 'city' field. Also, a picture taken at our 'ranch' building appears in another article on page 38.

OCT. 2008 - PBS MAGAZINE - Feature article "PAXSON'S PAGES" (Pages 58-60) covering the events from LOF's last Summer Celebrity Paintball Camp held last July. Page 4 also used a photo by Toby Joe Gilreath in Bea Young's "From the Editor".

NOV. 2008 - APG MAGAZINE - Article entitled "NO WHIMPS!" (Page 81) by Bobby Joe Smallwood contains a photo of LOF Referee 'Raven' Groseclose playing. A couple of other LOF regulars (including Keith Ward II) are in photos on page 52.

SEP. 2008 - APG MAGAZINE - Article entitled "Beware the Warthog" (Pages 50-51) by Jason "Foolybear" Lineberger and lots of photos by Toby Joe Gilreath taken at LOF's HALO 3 Theme Day held Nov. 24, 2007. The article spotlights LOF's famous Warthog vehicle and has a picture of Warthog creator, Dave Mills as Master Chief (holding LOF's famous SPNKr weapon).

AUG. 2008 - APG MAGAZINE - Article (Pages 28-29) on "How to Choose Your next Scenario Game by Jason "Foolybear" Lineberger and lots of photos by Toby Joe Gilreath taken at LOF's Call of Duty Theme Day held Feb. 23, 2008.

JULY 6, 2008 - Asheville CITIZEN-TIMES Newspaper (Section F) - Small business profile entitled 'Owner says Paintball offers little pain, huge adrenaline rush' by reporter Jonathan Rich. Article includes interviews with owner, Toby Joe Gilreath and Arden Hopper.

JUN. 2008 - PBS MAGAZINE - Feature article (Pages 20-26) on LOF's CALL OF DUTY THEME DAY held on Feb. 23, 2008. Great article by Jason "Foolybear" Lineberger and lots of photos by Toby Joe Gilreath. Jason 'Foolybear' Lineberger premiered a new blog called PAINTBALL ON POINT and his first article used lots of LOF pictures. On the NEWS WITH A VIEW listings, page 68 has an article on 'Foolybear' which is accompanied with a photo taken by Toby Joe Gilreath and page 69 mentions LOF as the location of a Mike Paxson and Bea Youngs Paintball Camp to be held June 10-12, 2008. A couple of pictures from LOF's CALL OF DUTY THEME DAY were used in the Splat Shots area (Pages 74-75).

DEC. 10, 2007 - PLAY LIKE A GIRL SPORTS RADIO PROGRAM - 8:00PM - A live interview by Patti with LOF field owner, Toby Joe Gilreath and GOOD 'N' EVIL (all-female tournament paintball team) captain, Julie Petree dicussing LOF's newest team and its future plans for the all-female team.

NOV. 2007 - PBS MAGAZINE - Feature article (Pages 50-54) on LOF's PIRATES OF THE CARIBBEAN THEME DAY held on July 21, 2007. Great article and pictures by Jason "Foolybear" Lineberger. Also pictures from the same event were used in the Splat Shots area (Pages 60-61).

OCT. 2007 - APG MAGAZINE - Feature article (Pages 94-95) on LOF's BLACKHAWK DOWN THEME DAY held on March 31, 2007. Great article by Jason "Foolybear" Lineberger and lots of pictures by Splatshots. In addition to the article, vintage pics of LOF regulars were used on page 14 (Jonathan Howell & Joey Petree), page 50 (LOF script-writer, Rick Owen) and page 68 (LOF Spokesmodel, Kristie Cantrell).

SEP. 2007 - PBS MAGAZINE - Picture of Eddie Hendricks on page 31 in an article featuring the "F.E.A.R." Big Game held at Camp Blanding on Memorial Day Weekend. Eddie and several other Section 8 members help lead the Smart Parts team to a victory.

AUG. 2007 - PB2X MAGAZINE - Feature article (Pages 20-22) covering the BLACKHAWK DOWN THEME DAY held on March 31. Several good photos from Splatshots accompany the article. Also LOF regular, SHAUGH SMITH, appears on page 30 in a picture taken at LOF during the GODFATHER Theme Day.

JULY 22, 2007 - Hendersonville TIMES-NEWS Newspaper (Section E) - Feature article entitled 'OUCH' by reporter Lindsay Lancaster covering the Golden Rule of Paintball at Line of Fire. Included in the article are pics of local ballers Brett Janavice and Beck Miller. Lindsay also wrote an accompanying article, "Local Teens are regional paintball champs", which helped explain what goes into having a team and spotlighted local tournament team RUSH ARMY.

JUN. 2007 - APG MAGAZINE - Feature article (Pages 122-123) covering LOF's FATHER'S DAY celebration. Lots of good photos taken by Jason "Foolybear" Lineberger at LOF's Father's Day Special in 2006.

JAN. 20, 2007 - PAINTBALL NEWS NEWSPAPER (Vol. x Issue xxx) - Article on LOF's HALO 2.5 THEME DAY held on Nov. 25, 2006.

APR. 2005 - APG MAGAZINE - Feature article (Pages 158-162) on LOF's various THEME DAYS with pictures of many LOF regulars and guests BEA YOUNGS, MIKE PAXSON and ROCKY CAGNONI. Article by Jason "Foolybear" Lineberger and lots of pictures by Splatshots.

JUNE 18, 2004 - Hendersonville TIMES-NEWS Newspaper (Section S) - Feature article entitled 'LINE OF FIRE: Paintball Warriors take to Extreme Sport for Summer Camp' by reporter Jonathan Rich covering LOF's annual Summer Celebrity Paintball Camp. Included in the article are pics of local baller Kurt Watson during camp session.

JULY 06, 2002 - WLOS-TV13 6:00 NEWSCAST - Story on "Weekend Warriors" which featured footage from LOF's Men in Black Theme Day. Interviews with several players.

NOV. 1998 - APG MAGAZINE - Feature article on LINE OF FIRE and its facilities by Jon Morrell. Accompanied with photos by Toby Joe Gilreath.

JULY 1994 - PSI MAGAZINE - Feature article (Pages 50-59) on CONTRA! a 24-hour big game held at R.P.S. PAINTBALL PARK in Oldsmar, FL. The article by Andrew Van Der Plaats is accompanied by severl photos by Toby Gilreath of the 4F SQUAD who played in and covered the game.

MAY 1994 - PSI MAGAZINE - Feature article (Pages 69-71) on FLORIDA STATE FIVE MAN. Although the article had nothing whatsoever to do with LOF or any of its teams, the photos in the article were from a big game at Action Quest in Hickory, NC. In fact, the group photo on page 69 contains several member's of the 4F SQUAD (in the front row).

APR. 16, 1994 - PAINTBALL NEWS NEWSPAPER (Vol. 4 Issue 101) - Cover article (and pages 4-6) on CONTRA! a 24-hour big game held at R.P.S. PAINTBALL PARK in Oldsmar, FL. The article mentions members of 4F SQUAD in attendance and credits the cover photo (of Steve West of the team GREY GHOST from Virginia) to "Tony Gilbreath". This should be Toby Gilreath of Splatshots.

OCT. 1993 - PSI MAGAZINE - Feature article (Pages 50-56) on OPERATION BREAKTHROUGH (a big game held at Action Quest in Hickory, NC) by Ken "Hollywood" Gilder. The group photo on pages 50-51 contains several member's of the 4F SQUAD.
