09/24/10 - It was great having some players 'dress up' for the HOLY GRAIL theme day. Brought back memories from the 'good old days' when MOST players dressed out for every theme day.

09/24/10 - The first mission was basically a footrace to the far end of the 'woods' field to obtain either king Arthur's crown or the Black Knight's helmet (both located in the temple). But, on the way, King Arthur and his knights cut through the woods and happened upon the Knights that say 'Ni' (Wayne Smith, Jason Lineberger and Corey Briggs) while on the other side of the woods, The Black Knight and his troops were forced to answer questions to cross the 'Bridge of Death'. Above is a tired King Arthur who triumphed in the first mission.

09/24/10 - Throughout the day, during all the missions, teams kept their eyes peeled for items that could get them points to buy shields. Among these items were: Herrings, Sparrows, Coconuts, Shrubberys and cans of Spam.

09/24/10 - King Arthur discusses with his knights the option of giving up points for a shield before the next mission.

09/24/10 - The Black Knight (David Burns) holds off the opposition while his knight (Tate Hunter) positions the wheelbarrow for a 'pick-up' during the 'Bring Out 'Cha Dead' mission.

09/24/10 - King Arthur (Cody Miller) capitalizes on his 'invincible' status and sheilds one of his knights (Galaxy Lineberger) while she pushes a wheelbarrow during the 'Bring out 'cha dead' mission.

09/24/10 - Even referees get in on the costuming. Here, Kendall Sciupider, LOF referee/photographer came as a cow.

09/24/10 - Mission 3 called for King Arthur and his knights to 'simply' push the Trojan Rabbit past the Black Knight's castle that was overrun with French knights.

09/24/10 - Just in case the Black Knight and the French Knights took possession of the Trojan Rabbit, King Arthur placed a surprise inside.

09/24/10 - One of King Arthur's knights (Ken Forte) makes a desperate attempt to get the Trojan Rabbit rolling again after the Black Knight and his forces stopped the initial push. Another knight (Nick Montaperto), is quickly approaching to help, but unknown to him (and hard to see in the picture) is a French knight (Corey Briggs) reaching out of a nearby door (behind Nick) with a stuffed animal which will put him out of the game if it touches him.

09/24/10 - Here's a better angle captured by Jeff Shipman. It shows Corey Briggs already tagging out Ken Forte and on his way to tag Nick Montaperto out. Meanwhile, Nick's dad, Vito Montaperto, pommels knights from above with stuffed animals.

09/24/10 - The Black Knight and the French Knights stopped the advancing Trojan Rabbit no more than 30 feet from the orange line it had to cross to win (see photo above).

09/24/10 - As the Black Knight's forces were succesful in stopping the Trojan Rabbit from crossing, they take the win and another appendage is removed from our scoreboard.

09/24/10 - No stuffed animals were harmed in the making of this theme day.

09/24/10 - A Vorpal Bunny (Jason 'Foolybear' Lineberger), holds knights from reaching the Grail. They never did!

09/24/10 - The GRAIL remained untouched so neither team won the 4th mission. Even though the Black Knight surrendered 125 points to purchase a shield (and put his team behind by 40 points), they collected 380 points in mission 4 which caught them back up AND put them ahead for the win!

09/24/10 - Our hats are off to Cody Miller (King Arthur) and David Burns (Black Knight) who took a beating (literally) so the rest of us could have a great time. Thanks guys. You both ROCK!

09/24/10 - Millard Wright got 'Best Dressed' and received a case of paintballs.

09/24/10 - LOF regular, Jacob Blackwell, took home the MVP award for his bravery and persistance during the 'Bring out 'Cha Dead' mission. He gets a FREE PASS to LOF's next theme day, BATTLEFIELD: BAD CO. 3 on Nov. 19.

09/24/10 - Chase Mathis (above) won a Tippmann Carver One marker (and a can of Spam) at the end of the day.

09/24/10 - One knight to another: "Maybe next year ONE of us will get that Grail!".

09/24/10 - Wayne to Toby: "WOW! You musta been holding that in all day". Want more? We've got hundreds more action pics from this theme day that can be seen by clicking here.
